Vancouver/BC Organizations

• Vancouver Fraser Port Authority – this Crown Corporation oversees Canada’s largest port, working to ensure the efficient and reliable movement of goods and passengers through the port. They work with port terminals and tenants to address environmental, social and economic sustainability issues of port operations.
• Pacific Gateway Portal – this Port of Vancouver customer/stakeholder portal enables users to access key port information and functions through a secure site.
• Pacific Pilotage Authority – provides safe, reliable and efficient marine pilotage and related services in BC’s coastal waters including the Fraser River.

Environmental Conditions

• Tides – a local Vancouver tides chart that can be helpful when planning port entry/exit times.
• Weather Service – this Government of Canada site offers multiple meteorological forecasts to help guide users across the country.

Advocacy/Support Organizations

• B.C. Maritime Employers’ Association – this organization supports maritime employers through activities such as labour relations, human resources, recruitment, training and health and safety.
• Chamber of Shipping of B.C. – this maritime advocacy group has done its best to build constructive relationships with legislators at all levels and in finding solutions that help serve members and other influential marine partners and stakeholders.

• Canadian Food Inspection Agency – Asian Gypsy Moth Regulations – this bulletin prescribes measures to prevent the entry of Asian gypsy moth into Canada via port activity.
• Canadian Public Holidays – this federal government ministry lists a calendar of all federal and provincial statutory holidays in Canada.
